We continue our adventure to explore the Ancient City of Stageira, Aristotle's birthplace, the tutor of Alexander the Great. Founded in 655 B.C., it’s history includes independence and Philip II's rule, followed by a revival through Aristotle's teachings. The "Aristoteleion" is said to hold his relics, celebrated annually at the "Aristoteleia" festival. Continue to Olympiada, where myth meets history as it's named after Alexander the Great's mother. Visit the impressive "Lion of Amphipolis" at the Amphipolis Site, a 4th-century BC tomb sculpture honoring a general of Alexander. Explore Amphipolis' archaeological treasures in the museum.
